Whitchurch is a lovely town; there are some great walks immediately around it... but walking west is spoiled by the incessant roar of the A41, & the Shropshire Way is a piece of poop unless you love cornfields. I will try south &/or east next time...

Walking: Whitchurch
Walking west from Mile Bank Farm campsite (very good indeed, by the way), via St Alkmund's church & the town, the Whitchurch arm of the Shropshire Union, & the Llangollen Canal... as well as Powell's Pork Pies.

Walking: The Wrekin
Lovely, somewhat strenuous, 7ml walk which pretty much follows George Evans geo-historical self-guided route (available via the Royal Geographical Society's excellent walking resource)... learned a lot, walked a bit, had a great day!

Photography: Brecon
Off to Brecon to end an era...

Stayed at Priory Mill Farm campsite, & would strongly advise anyone who fancies a quiet, simply resourced, low impact visit to check'em out...
