Walking: Hathersage, Higger & Owler Tors...

We left for Burbage Bridge very late on a ridiculously hot day...
Light started to fade quite early...
As ever, such beautiful views...
Harrington's pork pie made for an exquisite supper
The A6187 roadmarch from Millstone was horrid!
Arriving at the pub was simply marvellous!
Trudging up to North Lees wasn't fun!

Walking: Stanage Edge... bright!

Weather definitely wasn't horrible on this jaunt...
as ever, a stiffish breeze atop the scarp,
but great visibility, scudding cloudscapes, & the occasional spritz!
A lovely evening... but bloody midges!
Ending with great Indian grub at Maazi in Hathersage.

A magnificent day (even with the friggin' midges!)

Walking: Stanage Edge... damp!

First, there was camping at North Lees...
then, there were many, many bastard midges...
followed by flappy, itchy, moany family!
Then came the walky-goodness...
Overcast, low cloud...
later... blowy, cold, & damp.
A touch of sun from time to time...
but, lovely at all stages.
Then loads more bleedin' midges!
