Walking: Blithfield... the first time in a long time!

A lovely sunny Sunday, everyone & his dog was out...

I love a walk in this neck o'the woods, 

& see a lot of folk with lunch & a book, settled by the water...

I really must give that a go!

& when home, I did this...

Walking: Benthall Edge & Hall

Again, we ended up walking much farther than intended... 

I do keep forgetting brown lines close together on an OS map means 'here be hills' (& some of'em be big'uns!)

(Didja see all them steps?  Loads!)

Some dick got us 'lost' by not concentrating, enjoying the landscape, & just following a long distance path we weren't even supposed to be walking...

Lovely walk though, & massively orientating for future visits...

... & we earned the right to a coupla hours at the Coalbrookdale Inn!

Then back to base for 3 Bean Chilli & a big rela-a-a-x...

Walking: Ironbridge-Lloyds Coppice-Coalport... return via south bank

 Slutchey!  That was her word of the day... 

so much mud on the ridgewalk above the Coppice!  But then there was this...

who knew black pudding & onion would twin so wonderfully with toasted cheddar, 

especially alongside a pint of All Nations bitter?

Great pub...

Industrial heritage everywhere, & one definitely needs plenty of time to explore...

A fine days walking, though seemed a lot longer than anticipated... so unfit!

Free at last... well, Ironbridge for a coupla days!

 Took ourselves a pod at Irongorge campsite for 3 nights & a shitloada walking...

Took an orienting amble... & it is wet beyond belief around the area!

Down to Ironbridge & along the Severn to the New Bridge at Jackfield... 

a lovely evening for it!
