Walking: The Roaches

Yeah... a few weeks ago we were in the Staffordshire Peaks,
a few days exploring an area close to home but unknown (August blogs).
It seemed a good idea to stroll to this outcrop of North Staffs gritstone massif,
then scramble, walk, & wander the lumpy bits... ain't sure 'twas!  Much further than it seemed on the map - which ain't the territory, as us NLP types like to say!
Girt views mind...
Fantastic weather for a long day in the hills: dry, bright, breezy, wi'cool periods,
but plenty o'sun!  We enjoyed the bejesus out of it!
If you haven't been, go!  It is a great day out... just remember,
there's plenty o'roadside parking, & easy access, along the base of the ridge!
Back via country lanes to Meerbrook & the Lazy Trout, which was long but okay, except for the fkn loose Rottweiler that wanted to eat us on Cote Lane...
Jude did a bit of poo!
We had fine drinks!
