Couldn't be arsed travelling all the way home from the family-do,
so decided to have a sit down in Cambridgeshire!
Campsite down by the Great Ouse - a proper river this one!
Rather water-landy the whole area in truth...
Odd town... nice town: seaside in the midlands; wealth & need cheek-by-jowl;
looks great wi'some fantastic buildings, including domestic architecture;
we did find a great pub, wi'great beer...
then managed brilliant shish for consecutive nights!
The weather was with us for wandering around town & country.
Walked, boringly, north out along the river, & ended up taking a lovely wander
around Paxton Pits nature reserve - fascinating flooded gravel pits.
So much water!
... & gravel is still being taken out & processed.
