Walking: Moseley

Coupla days, a gig, a walk, food (Zindaya has some great Indian street grub) & beers in Moseley (south Birmingham).

The attic airbnb was fantastic, a few minutes from the village centre; not many more to the Hare & Hounds. The Hot 8 Brass kinda blew me away... big boyz, big noize!

A long walk around Moseley, past St Mary's, through the Bog, to Sarehole Mill & along the River Cole to Yardley Wood, then back up to Sparkhill. Not too sure what to make of Shire Country Park, it could take a massive litter pick... but it does offer an oasis of calm in a very busy part of Birmingham's commuter belt .

February in M/cr

Band on the Wall

... was a monster of a show - with Katy Hurt (who gives great ballad)

Walking: frozen at Baswich

Helluva bracer on a grey, cold winter's day: but, at the end was The Bod, Titanic's community cafe/bar on Bodmin Avenue in Stafford... a warm & wonderful place of bustle & beer...

Walking: Cannock Chase - Oldacre & Hollywood Slade

Very much a mixed-weather (& light) day for this cold walk across the Chase from the nature reserve at Brocton... so few people, so many deer!
