Walking: Flamborough, North Landing

Went to meet us newlyweds for brunch

- cafe is great, but you don't need an excuse to get out on Flamborough Head...
after the catch-up & the scran, we hugged tara & headed north.
Beautiful coastline, glorious day, fantastic walking...
The sea, the sun, mass birdlife, playful seals, folk catching rays & clean air!
We called a halt at North Landing... colour, noise, watersports... bus stop.
So, there has to be a next time for up the coast to Bempton!
Laters!

Walking: Danes Dyke, Sewerby

Another cracking day... through the woods to Dykes End... cliffs & pebbles towards the north end of Bridlington
That's Brid right there... so, up the steps to Sewerby & the Hall.

Grounds were nice enough, even took a gant at the hall... ice cream was delicious &, as Jude went on to tell every soul we met for the next three days, cheap, but
the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition was the star
A wander back via Dyke woods found us bumping into a lad from Leamore, who lived in Long Lane, Landywood before inadvertently moving to Wetherby!
A long old chat found us dry-mouthed & gagging... so...
& after, a lovely, dry bye-byes!

Walking: Flamborough, South Landing, Danes Dyke

So, we came to Flamborough... maybe 45yrs since I was here...
I'd forgotten what a lovely part of the world it is.
Chalk mate! This far north...
Hot for coastal walking, but the joy of cool entering the Danes Dyke woodland!
A saunter back up to the village... & beer... & bed!
... & by 4.00am rain was pissing into the tent!
Already wet, we shuffled outa puddles & drips, & went back to sleep...
