Walking: Coalbrookdale to Coalport, via Castle Green

Woke to a beautiful morning,
& decided to stroll through the woods & hills of the east side of Coalbrookdale...
exploring local paths as we wended our way towards Ironbridge.
Ironbridge pasties & hot sausage rolls from Eley's on Tontine Hill are magnificent
- forget the pork pies, Jackson's Butchers in Shifnal is 6 miles away!
In truth, too hot a day for the lengthy walk: we died for a good while at the
riverside Boat Inn at Jackfield (lovely HPA!)  Across the footbridge to Coalport...
Very brief gant around Coalport, over the roadbridge to join the Severn Way,
then west back to the Iron Bridge...
this part of the walk is mainly tree-covered... thank the Lord!
Oddly, this is the Severn Gorge we're walking, but we never seem to have much to do with the Severn itself... stunning this evening mind!
A stop in Ironbridge - choc ices, apple & mango juice, chunky Kit-Kat -
then a trudge through the leafy green of Captain's Coppice back to the campsite...
foregoing beer for copious water & restorative tea!
A fine walk - knackering on a sweltering day - but we did make it!
We really must get better at pencilling in proper stops, pub lunch say
