Surprisingly lovely walking around the village of Gentleshaw...
quiet, peaceful lanes & ancient, hidden trackways like Green Lane, & Watery Lane...
then, of course, there is Gentleshaw Common, over 200 acres of lowland heath, constrained by roads but great for a wander, with great views south & west.
