Walking: Rosedale Abbey & surrounds

This is the final photograph I took as we left Rosedale, travelling north toward Guisborough, then Gateshead & the Magic Weekend. Looking south-east, over Dalehead, to the Dale in the distance: an area of stunning landscapes... harsh beauty of nature; toughness of the industrial past; softness of the farmed & managed lowland. Ain't too sure about it being a 'hidden gem', but I hadn't been here before, & would strongly advise y'all to go... stay, walk, drink it all in!
'Picture postcard' shot o'Rosedale Abbey village from the old ironstone rail trackway.
Here's a bellend at Bellend... we camped at Bellend!
'Twas much better than you might think... beautiful views...
See? What'd I tell you? Simple, yet stunning campsite... good folk too!
Rosedale Abbey was 15-20 minute walk from Low Bell End: coupla teashops, coupla shops, coupla pubs. Coupla ways to walk in as well... both river courses... one NOT 20mins & tiring (well, for ageing, outa shape knackerbags!), wi'lotsa up-&-down!
Loadsa walking in every direction: direction,  length, & difficulty dna matter much... 'cos the scenery just kept on giving...
